LumbarCool* Pain Management System

For RF Lesioning in Lumbar Medical Branch Neurotomy

The LumbarCool* Pain Management System uses the Cooled-RF platform to provide an anatomy specific solution for lumbar medial branch neurotomy. www.rfpainmanagement.com

Large-volume, anatomy specific lesion encompasses the groove at the base of the superior articular process (SAP).

Large-volume lesion encompasses medial branch nerve in one pass, eliminating the need for multiple passes.

Distally projected Cooled-RF lesion enables a perpendicular cannula approach towards the familiar “eye of the Scotty dog” target.

Simple and familiar technique, consistent with the Medial Branch
Block technique.

Offers an alternative approach to placement with the active tip perpendicular to the target nerve.

LumbarCool* Probe

Internal Cooling:

Internally water-cooled radiofrequency probe allows for the creation of large-volume, spherical lesions.

Cooling maintains the desired temperature at all times, while eliminating tissue charring at the probe tip.

Radiopaque Marker

A radiopaque marker is located at the proximal end of the active tip. This marker defines the lesion location under fluoroscopy, confirming position and enhancing visualization.

Thermocouple

The temperature sensor at the end of the probe tip ensures an appropriate thermal gradient in the target tissue.
